If you are absent the day of a test, you will be required to take the test the day you return to school.

Homework will be checked daily. All problems must be copied from the book and all work shown. NWNC – no work no credit. Partial credit will be given if the problem is attempted. Be sure you put the date on all notes and assignments so you can find them easily when you study for a test.
Make Up Work: If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get all make up work. No excuses will be accepted on notebook quizzes. You must make arrangements with the teacher to make up tests and quizzes.
Attendance: You are expected to be in class and on time daily. You will be marked tardy if you are not in your seat when the bell rings. CHS tardy policy will be enforced.
Fulton County Recovery Policy:
Provision for Improving Grades.
1. Opportunities designed to allow students to recover from a low or failing cumulative grade will be allowed when all work required to date has been completed and the student has demonstrated a legitimate effort to meet all course requirements including attendance.
Students should contact the teacher concerning recovery opportunities. Teachers are expected to establish a reasonable time period for recovery work to be completed during the semester. All recovery work must be directly related to course objectives and must be completed ten school days prior to the end of the semester.
2. Teachers will determine when and how students with extenuating circumstances may improve their grades.
Chattahoochee High School Mathematics Department Guidelines:
Recovery is available to students with a cumulative grade below 74% after a minimum of two (2) major grades. The maximum grade a student can earn for a recovery activity is 70 %. There will be only one recovery opportunity per failed major assignment or test. The individual teacher will determine the means of recovery. THE STUDENT MUST INITIATE THE PROCESS WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS OF NOTIFICATION OS A FAILING GRADE ON A MAJOR ASSIGNMNET/TEST.
Class Policies and Procedures:
1. Bring all materials to class every day. Work must be done in pencil.
2. Homework is due the day after it is assigned. I will not accept late work for any reason.
3. You must be in your seat when the bell rings or you will be marked tardy. If you are tardy, you cannot do the startup, if there is one.
4. Be respectful of others.
5. All the discipline rules from the handbook apply to class.
6. You will be allowed six (6) passes per semester. You must use your agenda for these passes, so bring you agenda to class every day.
Parent Connect: Using parent connect on the web is a great way to keep up with your student’s grades. You will be able to periodically check his/her grade and dates for upcoming tests. Please remember that it may take a few days to actually enter all grades into the system. In addition, you will receive a grade sheet every two weeks. This grade sheet must be signed and returned within three (3) days.
